Shame that such a nice frame was damaged due to lack of packaging.

Unfortunately the bottom end of the spring loaded central pin had slipped out of its metal holding ring and had worn through the veneer finish on one of the frame edges, due to chatter during postal transit. To prevent this happening a second piece of card is required so that both sides of the glass frame are held in place in transit. I didn't return it as it would have cost more than the item did in the first place. I will find some polish to cover the damaged area, which will become the rear side of the frame.
